Have you ever done something just for doing and you forget about it? This is what happened to Joshua Lang of the Oklahoma National Guard. He once had donated his bone marrow and forgot about that. After three years passed, he got a call telling him that his bone marrow marched with the one of another personwho needed it urgently for him not to die.
While reporting to Oklahoma’s Koco 5 News, Lt. Lang said that it was a miracle for this march to have happened. Research conducted by Be The Match shows that the majority of people, about 70%, who need bone marrow transplant never find a marching one in their family tree. Also they revealed that of those willing to donate, only one in 540 cases finds a match who he can donate to.
Upon receiving the call while at work in Fort Sill, Lt. Lang never thought twice of accepting to help the person in need even though he was a total stranger to him.
Lt. Lang was very excited when he was revealing that he had the opportunity to donate something else very important that can save life apart from money.
