Mary Jane got married to Doyle on May 17, 1944. Luckily enough, their wedding was fully recorded. After 64 years came to pass by, their grandson uploaded it on the social media. The title of the clip was “My Grandparent’s Wedding.” In the clip. We witness the time change of when the video was taken in a black and white Kodachrome color. The grandson goes ahead to leave a description that his granddad had that antique 16mm camera, of the Cine-Kodak type that was made in the 1930s. Even though the video has got some scratches, you can see how well it was preserved for all this time.
The video was recorded in Portland, OR, back in the 1930s and 1940s. By looking at the clip, you will certainly feel that you have been taken back in those old good days. By that time, Doyle used to work as a sailor and his uniform was elegant as same as his young handsome body. As for Mary, she had a wedding dress on. The clip has some background classic songs like “Heart and Soul” and “I’ve Heard That Song Before.” It is a very pleasing moment to see Doyle kiss Mary while on the grass, then board the car and drive off to their honey moon.
